Hey guys,

I know it’s been a while since my last post and I apologize for that. Today I wanted to discuss something that has sprung up lately. In the summer time it’s not too hard to go out looking stylish. A pair of well fitted jeans; nice shirt and shoes, well-maintained hair and some sunglasses are all you really need. How ever, in the wintertime when everybody is bundled up to their eyes it’s both harder to look cool AND for people to take notice. I don’t know where you all live, but here in NYC it’s already freezing cold and we still have a long winter ahead of us. So today I wanted to devote this blog entry to this very hurdle. How do you look cool when it’s cold out?

First of all, there are a few things you should keep in mind. Number 1; the moisture and cold air will ruin your denim jeans; so don’t wear your best pair, at all. Instead this is a good time to go to a store where you can still buy nice pants, but at a discounted price such as Old Navy. This way, when your jeans get ruined, you won’t be too heart broken.

Next you will need to choose your colors wisely. There are few things this time of year that will kill your game quicker then looking like a Christmas tree. Your coat, sweater, pants and shoes should all be complimentary. A bright orange bubble coat with green sweater, white pants and black shoes will tell a girl that your mom still dresses you. As a general rule of thumb, try to keep your coat and shoes the same color, and your pants and shirt should be complimentary colors. IE: blue jeans and blue or black sweater will work just fine.

Third: Just because it’s the winter and we have less hours of daylight this time of year, does not mean you can’t look sharp. If you haven’t done so already, get your coat dry-cleaned (unless it’s brand new as of this year). Additionally, remember how we just color coordinated our clothes? Well, do the same for your gloves, hat and scarf. It doesn’t matter as so much if you look like the Abominable Snowman since everyone else will as well, but you should always demonstrate that you know how to dress well.

Finally; while this might seem like a no brainer a lot of guys don’t take it in to consideration; remember to pack some tissues! Just because you look nice does not mean you can’t kill your chances instantly by a big booger hanging out between your nose and lips.
